1) How the converter works (no upload)
All conversions happen on your device using browser technologies (Web APIs/JavaScript/WASM). Your files are not uploaded to our servers. We do not see, collect, store, or share the images you open in the converter. We do not use your files to train any models.
2) What we collect (optional & minimized)
We run lightweight, privacy-minded analytics to understand usage and improve reliability.
- Usage analytics (optional): page views and anonymized events such as number of files/pages processed, approximate output size, feature toggles (e.g., “Keep EXIF”), and generic error types (e.g., “decode_failed”). We never record file contents or precise filenames.
- Error telemetry: anonymized error messages and stack traces (no image bytes) so we can fix bugs.
- Hosting/CDN logs: our provider may log standard HTTP information (IP address, user-agent, referrer, time, URL) when serving pages and static assets.
3) Cookies & local storage
- No required cookies. The converter itself does not need cookies to work.
- If you consent to analytics, first-party cookies/local storage may be used to remember that choice and attribute sessions.
- We may store small preferences locally (theme, language, quality slider). If you install the site as a PWA, your browser may cache assets for offline use. Your image files are never cached or uploaded by us.
4) Your choices
- Consent / Do Not Track: We honor your analytics consent. If your browser sends Do Not Track, we treat it as a refusal for analytics.
- Opt-out: Decline on the consent banner (if present), or clear site data in your browser to reset consent and stored preferences.
- Access / deletion: Analytics are aggregated and not tied to a real-world identity. If you still wish to request deletion, contact us and we’ll do our best within technical limits.
5) Children’s privacy
The site is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided analytics-related personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
6) Security
Because files never leave your device, the primary risk surface is your browser and computer. We serve the site over HTTPS and use standard security headers. Keep your browser up to date.
7) Data retention
- Usage analytics (if enabled) may be retained for up to 14 months unless a shorter period is configured.
- Hosting/CDN logs are retained per the provider’s policy.
8) Third-party services & open-source libraries
We may load open-source libraries (e.g., TIFF decoding, ZIP creation) and fonts/CDN assets. When your browser requests those files, the provider sees your IP and user-agent like any web request. These libraries run locally and do not transmit your images.
9) Changes to this policy
We may update this page as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted with a new “Last updated” date.
