1) Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using tiff-to-jpg.com (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
2) Service Description (client-side converter)
The Site provides a browser-based tool to convert TIFF/TIF images to JPG. Conversions run locally on your device using Web APIs/JavaScript/WASM; files are not uploaded to our servers. Features may change or be discontinued at any time.
3) Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age required by your jurisdiction) to use the Site. No account is required.
4) Acceptable Use
- Do not violate laws, third-party rights, or these Terms.
- Do not upload or distribute unlawful, infringing, or harmful content using the Site.
- Do not attempt to bypass security, probe the infrastructure, or interfere with normal operation.
- Do not abuse resources (e.g., automated scraping, excessive concurrency) that could degrade service for others.
5) Intellectual Property
The Site’s design, text, graphics, and code are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works except as allowed by law or relevant open-source licenses.
6) Open-Source & Third-Party Components
The Site may incorporate open-source libraries (e.g., TIFF decoding, ZIP creation) and CDN assets. Such components are licensed under their respective terms. When your browser fetches those files, the provider receives standard request information (IP, user-agent). These libraries run locally and do not transmit your images to us.
7) User Files & Output
You are responsible for the files you process and for ensuring you have rights to use them. We do not host your files. Previews and outputs are generated on your device; you control where to save them. Sample files provided on the Site are for testing only and may be subject to separate licenses noted on the download link.
8) No Professional Advice
Information on the Site is for general purposes only and does not constitute professional advice (legal, printing, color management, archival, etc.).
9) Disclaimers of Warranties
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that conversions will be error-free, that colors or metadata will match a specific workflow, or that the Site will be uninterrupted or secure.
10) Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business arising from or related to your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to USD $50.
11) Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Site or violation of these Terms.
12) Changes to the Service and Terms
We may modify or discontinue the Site (or any part of it) at any time. We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms. The “Last updated” date will reflect material changes.
13) Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Site at any time for any reason, including suspected violation of these Terms.
14) Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona shall have exclusive jurisdiction. If local law requires a different venue, you agree to the competent courts in your usual place of residence.
15) Miscellaneous
- Severability: If any provision is unlawful or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
